My name is Jay Ann Tregenza and I am an Accredited Counsellor with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.(See qualifications for more details).

If you are looking at this page, then the chances are that either you, or someone you care about, is experiencing some sort of emotional difficulty. I can offer a safe, non-judgemental and confidential place in which to explore your thoughts, feelings and responses. Counselling is not about giving advice, but it is about helping you to find your own answers to your own unique issues.


In particular counselling can help when:

  • You are trying to make a difficult decision
  • You are struggling to cope with some change in your life
  • It would help to talk privately to someone
  • You need to take a step back and put things back into perspective

    How I work

    I can offer short or long term work and we can talk about what's best for you when we meet. Some evening and daytime appointments are available.

    Having recently reloacted I am currently taking on a limited number of new clients. I can offer a half price introductory session, reasonable rates and a discount to counselling students. Please contact me if you have any queries about fees, enquiries are welcome.

    If I feel I cannot offer you what you need or, if I feel there is someone or a service more suited to your needs, then I will try to offer you information on where to look for further support.

    My consulting room is conveniently situated for Brighton, Southwick, Shoreham and Worthing. There is free, easy parking closeby and excellent bus and rail links just 5-10 mins away.
